Firm In Faith, 1 Peter 5:9

1 Peter 5:9 "Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings ". None of us is immune to temptation. We can get prepared by having a strong faith in God, which can be further strengthened through prayers. When we stand "firm in the faith " we'll know when to turn to Him.

The New Creation, 2 Corinthians 5:17

2 Corinthians 5:17 "If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here !" Everything is made new when we are in Christ. Life takes on a new direction and purpose. The believer no longer focuses on self, but focuses on Jesus Christ. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

The Power Of Prayers, Colossians 4:2

Colossians 4:2 "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." Through prayer God prepares us for the encounter and our prayer is a part of His providential care. Even in the most mundane moments, God directs our paths and keeps us in His mercy, strength and love.

Wisdom, Proverbs 4:7

Proverbs 4:7 "... get wisdom. Though it cost all you have,...." Wisdom begins with a profound reverence to God. Out of that grows our understanding of sin and our need for a Saviour. Wisdom seeks to understand God's ways. Thus, wisdom is the greatest priority.

Praise To The Lord, Isaiah 25: 1

Isaiah 25: 1 " ...in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago." It may be hard to hear God saying "no" even when we are praying for something, deliverance at the time of crisis. But still our praise should not be about destruction; but about what's next, fulfilment of God's kingdom. God reigns! He keeps giving us reasons to praise Him.
