1 Peter 2:1-10
"You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation... that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. " 1 Peter 2:9
This is not an image of the privileged few, but the ransomed many from "every tribe and language and people and nation " (Revelation 5-9). Today we are scattered across the globe, where many feel isolated and suffer for their allegiance to Jesus. But through the lens of God's word we see the wide shot of our brothers and sisters in faith standing together to honour the One who redeemed us and made us His own.
We join together in praise to the One who brought us out of the darkness and into the light.
The term learning disability refers to many different types of learning issues that can vary widely in levels of severity. Students with a learning disability have at least average intelligence. They have areas of high functioning and areas of difficulties. Their learning disabilities are not caused by problem, such as vision or hearing impairments, or by primary emotional disturbance, and their challenges are not the result of poor schooling. Students with learning disabilities take in information, such as sights or sounds, but may have difficulty understanding or attaching meaning to it. They find it hard to organize information so that it is readily accessible. Retrieving the information from either short or long term memory is difficult. In addition, expressing the information, either verbally through speech or writing, or nonverbally may be a problem.
